Education
Dewi Roberts, the founder of Dewi Translation, has over forty years’ experience of working in the bilingual and Welsh-medium education sector in Wales. This vast experience has given him an in-depth understanding of education specific terminology and Curriculum for Wales.
During that time, Dewi has worked for many companies, focusing on educational content and resources, including: Tinint, British Council Cymru, School of Educational Sciences - Bangor University, Prosiect Cleddau; UWTSD: AtIC, INSPIRE; Empathy Lab, Gwylan UK, Bumpybox, Sazani Associates, Think Learn Challenge, Welsh Government, Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, Gelligaer and Merthyr Common Association and Elan Valley.

​From 2020-2024, Dewi worked on a part-time basis as a Lecturer for the School of Educational Sciences at Bangor University and has been an Induction Validator/Mentor of NQTs (for GwE) since 2018.
From 2012-2022 Dewi was a partner in TLC, an Education Consultancy company. During his time with TLC, he led on the translation of material for numerous high-value contracts including British Council Connecting Classrooms through Global Learning, Bridgend Outdoor Schools and the National Literacy and Numeracy Framework Guidance for the Welsh Government.
From 2001-2012, Dewi was a Senior Research Fellow at CRIPSAT, University of Liverpool, managing numerous national projects for the Welsh Government. Prior to this, Dewi’s previous posts included Senior Lecturer in primary science and education (Initial Teacher Training) at Liverpool Hope University College; Science Project Officer for Canolfan Astudiaethau Addysg, Aberystwyth University, primary science Advisory Teacher for Clwyd LEA and headteacher of two primary schools in North Wales.
